TABLES PROVIDED!!

As THE ABSOLUTE BIGGEST event on the UK running calendar, The Great North Run attracts the worlds top athletes to complete the 13.1 miles.  It is an amazing event with an incredible atmosphere and we're thrilled to have been providing teams there for over 20 years. 

Athletes' Angels will be providing Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists and Massage Therapists for a number of charities including Prostate Cancer UK, Save the Children and MacMillan Cancer Care.  You will need to be available to work at the finish from 10am until the end of the event (approx. 4/5pm).  This is a world renowned event and you will be based right in the heart of the Charity Village at the finish area with around 100 charities situated there.  The atmosphere will be buzzing and you'll get the chance to gain some excellent experience!  You might even see the Red Arrows who make an appearance every year.

• Date: Sunday 13th September 2026  
• Times: Briefing at 10am followed by a 6-hr shift, everyone off site by 5pm
• Fee: £130 for a 6 hour shift
• Equipment: We will provide massage tables to make it easier for you to get on site
• Supervision can be provided for students
• There is parking available at the finish line but please do check out the event guide below for more info
• You do not have to be a member in order to work at this event but members will be given priority

TRAVEL & PARKING

It is worth looking at travel options well in advance as you will have to get to the Charity Village at the finish line in South Shields on the morning of event day so please be absolutely sure you can do this.
