The annual Dumble Bimble charity fun runs are named in memory of Club members Alan and Andrew Dumble, with all monies raised going to Weldmar Hospice in their memory.
Alan was an original club member when the club was formed. Why the Name? Alan always use to say to his wife Jan when he was going for a run “I’m just going out for a bimble”.
Invariably when you hear other runners chatting about the race it will be referred to as the Dimble Bimble, Dimble Dumble or any other such combination, those who knew Alan’s sense of humour say he would have loved this!
